Freedom Prayer is:

  • A multi-denominational network of churches and organizations committed to the freedom of their communities
  • A ministry team in churches equipped for “first responder” care to those who are hindered or seeking a deeper prayer life.
  • A biblical personal prayer ministry of sanctification that removes strongholds to produce a mature walk with God, with tools for transformation and healing
  • A Discipleship tool in spiritual formation, teaching believers how to pray and abide

 

What does Freedom Prayer do?

Freedom Prayer is a personal prayer ministry that exists to help with the process of recognizing and resolving anything that would keep us from an abiding relationship with God. It is a “first responder” ministry, focused on equipping individuals to prayerfully examine with God fundamental emotional and spiritual needs that hinder their Christian walk. Wounding, sin, ungodly beliefs, and entanglements can create strongholds that cause continual struggle with God and others. Freedom Prayer exists to provide solid biblical reconciliation and restoration that promotes a healthy prayer life and disciples individuals into a whole and abiding relationship with God. Traditionally, these prayer times occur in small groups of three people within a church team framework.

How does Freedom Prayer work?

 

Freedom Prayer is built on a strong and compelling scriptural basis for what we do and how we do it. Literally, a hundred scriptures direct individuals and church leaders on how to care for or disciple those with whom they are related or who are within their flock.

 

The Freedom Prayer model is structured around six pillars: 10 Foundations, WESUD, FRUIT LOOP, Spiritual Warfare, Doing Kingdom Business, and Connection

 

The Ten Foundations give an understanding of how we pray and a core belief system for ministry.

 

WESUD (Wounding, Entanglements, Sin, Ungodly Beliefs, and the Demonic) is a lens found in Luke 15 that offers the primary motivation and solution in each area.

 

The FRUIT LOOP (Fruit, Root, Boot, Loot, and Scoot) is a way to identify Satan’s work and remove it.

 

Spiritual Warfare is recognizing that the battleground is in the mind and utilizes practical tools that both acquire and keep the freedom that Jesus secured.

 

Doing Kingdom Business is the biblical “action” in a prayer time, seen in Forgiveness, Confession, Repentance, Renouncing, Breaking Agreement, and Casting Away.

 

Lastly, Connection tools are given to assist in drawing people closer to God, dependent on Scripture and the process of abiding.

 

The mission of Freedom Prayer has three phases.

 

  1. Training: Freedom Prayer partners with churches to introduce tools for freedom and adapt them to their specific church culture by aligning with their vision, ministries, and goals. This initially involves communication with church leadership and a Freedom Prayer Basic Training weekend to teach and equip the church.
  2. Continuing Education: Once the initial training has occurred, Freedom Prayer assists in forming a prayer ministry team, with attention to the team's personal freedom and spiritual health, and supports unity and provides coaching in a Continuing Education curriculum for review and preparation for ministry.
  3. Establishment and Partnership: As the Freedom Prayer ministry is presented to the church, ongoing relationship and resources are provided to cultivate a culture of freedom in partnership with church initiatives and goals.  Advanced training and equipping are offered, along with strategies for reproducing the team.
